‘Multi-tasking’ brain cells found to link respiratory and cardiovascular systems

 A team of scientists from two Sydney universities have identified a group of brain cells that link the throat muscles and breathing with the cardiovascular system.

The study involved researchers from Macquarie University and the University of New South Wales and is published online in the Journal of Neuroscience.
