Study targets better management of women’s sports teams

Three universities are to work together on a national research project to improve support for women’s professional sports teams in Australia.

The project will be led by Tracy Taylor, professor of sports management at the University of Technology Sydney, and will involve researchers from Victoria University in Melbourne and Griffith University in Queensland.

“Women have waited a long time for many of the historically men’s team sports to offer a professional career path for the women’s game,” Taylor said in a university statement.
