More Australians ‘replacing beer with kombucha’

Cafés should offer more alternatives to alcohol and sugary drinks, report suggests

A growing number of Australians are demanding healthy drinks instead of alcohol and sugary soft drinks at cafés and other hospitality venues, according to a study by the University of South Australia.

Rob Hallak, a researcher with the school of management, surveyed more than 400 hospitality businesses in Australia and New Zealand about consumer demand for healthy drinks.
