Scholarships offered to rural students affected by bushfires

University sets up scholarship fund and provides accommodation for firefighters and evacuees

Charles Sturt University in regional New South Wales will offer six scholarships, worth $5,000 each, to help students who have been affected by Australia’s bushfire crisis.

The university, which has seven campuses in major rural towns across the state, has allocated $30,000 to set up the Charles Sturt Bushfire Scholarship Fund. The university will also match any donations to the fund made by the public.
