Sydney vice-chancellor calls for climate research expansion

University must ‘make expertise available to governments and communities’

University of Sydney vice-chancellor Michael Spence has written to all staff and students to call for researchers to help “make a difference” and reduce the impact of climate change.

The appeal is part of a letter that pledges support to those affected by Australia’s continuing bushfire crisis.
