Tracking programme identifies areas of particularly high biodiversity and biomass
Marine scientists at the University of Tasmania have led a global study to track the movements of ocean predators such as whales and penguins in Antarctic waters.
The university’s Hobart-based institute for marine and Antarctic studies worked with researchers from 44 organisations to analyse 25 years of data on more than 4,000 animals from 17 species.
