The South Australian government is seeking industry and research partners to set up a national Cooperative Research Centre to tackle food waste and product fraud affecting Australia’s exports.
The CRC bid is being coordinated by Steve Lapidge, director of the food innovation taskforce at the South Australian Research and Development Institute in Adelaide.
Members involved in developing the bid are planning to make a pitch for federal funding in the 18th round of CRC competitive bids scheduled to take place in late 2017.
