Sinodinos talks up ‘real world research’ in latest CRC-P grants

Science minister Arthur Sinodinos has announced federal grants worth almost $29 million in the third funding round for Cooperative Research Centre projects.

The successful CRC-Ps include polymer railway sleepers, ultra-thin 3D printed batteries for solar energy storage and a new diagnostic test for prostate cancer.

Sinodinos said the 13 projects will also receive a further $60.8m from industry partners, creating a total of almost $90m invested in industry-led research.
