Minister tells fire scientists research is critical to manage risks and costs of natural disasters
State governments want expert research that will help them prepare for bushfires, storms and floods by increasing safety and resilience, a national research centre has said.
The Bushfire and Natural Hazards Cooperative Research Centre has emphasised the importance of identifying and managing risk to reduce costly damage to infrastructure and loss of lives.
