Sydney CRC aims to reduce emissions and reform energy grid

Government invests $68.5m in industry-led research effort to make clean energy more reliable and affordable

The federal government has announced funding for a Sydney-based Cooperative Research Centre that will focus on developing clean energy technologies to reduce Australia’s greenhouse emissions.

The government has invested $68.5 million and research partners in the Reliable Affordable Clean Energy for 2030 CRC have provided $280m. It will be led by Stuart White, director of the institute for sustainable futures at the University of Technology Sydney.
