The Australian Research Council has published a list of 147 scientists selected to assess and report on research quality in Australia as part of the 2012 Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) evaluations, the council said on 8 March.
The researchers have been appointed across eight evaluation committees, covering all scientific disciplines. They will assess more than 6,000 submissions sent to the council for evaluation.
The current round of evaluations is the second under the ERA initiative, which aims to identify research excellence in Australia 41 education institutions.
