The Australian Research Council has named eight academics who will chair research assessment committees for the federal funding agency’s 2018 round of national evaluations.
Announcing the appointments, ARC chief executive Sue Thomas said the eight Research Evaluation Committee chairs will bring “outstanding experience and expertise” to the Excellence in Research for Australia ratings process.
The University of Newcastle is the only regional university to be represented among the group.
