Researchers will be told to prioritise gender and sex issues

NHMRC and MRFF issue national statement on dealing with gender and sexuality in health research

Australia’s medical researcher will need to consider issues of sex and gender in project design, under new guidance on research approaches.

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is developing a national statement on the issue in conjunction with Australia’s department of health, which runs the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF). This will sit alongside top-level codes such as the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
