Difficulty of discovering and reusing software is leading to waste in ARC-funded projects, report says

Australian research is producing large amounts of software that sometimes goes to waste, a report has said.

The report, commissioned by the Australian Research Data Commons and published at the end of February, also warned of the risk of “redundant” work if appropriate software already exists.
