Smaller homes can provide a more flexible and efficient use of space, says architecture lecturer

Australia’s cities need to encourage low-impact housing designs that are more affordable, make better use of land and preserve urban green spaces, according to a Queensland University of Technology academic.

Kirsty Volz, an architecture lecturer with the university’s creative industries faculty, suggests the Covid-19 lockdown has shown that smaller homes can provide a more flexible and efficient use of space.
