Inquiry hears that top-level leadership is needed to develop Australia’s space industry

Building a coordinated approach to the rapidly changing space industry has emerged as a concern from many researchers and industry representatives in submissions to a senate inquiry.

On 17 February, the Standing Committee on Industry, Innovation, Science and Resources held a hearing for its inquiry into developing the space industry. Data research was brought up as a “critical gap” in Australia’s space programme.
