Long-awaited report backs Australia’s Cooperative Research Centres

Australia’s Cooperative Research Centre programme has been declared a success after an investigation by independent advisory firm ACIL Allen.

The company’s report estimated that up until 2021, the programme had created A$32.5 billion of additional GDP for Australia. It said the programme was “achieving excellent economic, employment, research and commercialisation outcomes”, and that it should be supported and even expanded.
