Review of Australian quantum highlights need for stronger university-industry collaboration

Australia’s quantum technology R&D is likely to be held back by “strong international competition, a scarcity of talent [and] a lack of domestic investment firepower and industry capability”, the university-backed Sydney Quantum Academy has said.

In a National Quantum Industry and Workforce Development Review published on 23 November, the academy says the sector has an urgent need for skilled workers.
