Australia’s medical research grants system needs to be overhauled to provide more “dedicated and specific” support for aged care and gerontology research, a Senate inquiry has heard.

In a hard-hitting submission to a federal inquiry into Australia’s aged care system, Ibrahim and Bugeja have called for federal policies that will support “complex” and long-term research into aged care.
