Shadow health minister says rich ‘live six years longer than poor people’

 There must be a stronger research and policy focus on social determinants of health in Australia, shadow health minister Chris Bowen has told a national conference in Sydney.

“You have invited me here today to answer the question ‘is inequality our biggest health risk?’ The answer to your question is ‘Yes’,” he said.
