Australian universities and industry say design of A$900 million research fund needs improvements

Universities have called for a rethink of the way Australia’s National Priorities and Industry Linkage Fund will be managed.

The A$900 million fund has been called “overly bureaucratic” by the Group of Eight research-intensive universities, which says its design will work against “the creativity and experimentation needed to develop new methods of industry engagement”.
