Victoria is maintaining pole position in medical research as state politicians look to boost innovation

Victoria is “the education state”, according to its vehicle registration plates since 2016.

But an older slogan, in place from 2000-13, which called Victoria “the place to be”, would be a more apt description for the state’s position in the driving seat of Australian medical research.
