Biologist Stephen Simpson has been named academic director of the Charles Perkins Centre for obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease at the University of Sydney, it was announced on 24 February.
Simpson is a research fellow at the university’s School for Biological Sciences as well as an adviser to Obesity Australia. His research spans locust behaviour and human health.
