The University of Melbourne has signed a deal to encourage researcher exchanges with Brazil.
It will collaborate with the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) on a programme that will support exchanges in the hope of establishing joint research projects.
FAPESP and the university will each contribute up to $100,000 a year for five years.
