A University of Queensland medical scientist working on treatments for antimicrobial resistant bacteria has received a major European award for early career research.
Jason Roberts, a UQ medical research fellow and consultant clinical pharmacist at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, is the recipient of a young investigator award from the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
The ESCMID was set up in 1983, and is Europe’s leading society for researchers working on infectious diseases.
