Grants awarded to improve elderly care

Federal aged care minister Ken Wyatt has announced grants worth $34 million to support research on dementia and technologies to improve health services for the elderly.

Wyatt said that 42 projects were successful and will receive funding for the next two years.

The Dementia and Aged Care Services Research and Innovation grants were launched in 2016 to address concerns across six priority research areas that were identified by the federal government.
