Australian universities must agree on “a common strategy” to develop a national curriculum for digital engineering courses, according to a Deakin University academic.
Reza Hosseini says there is no integrated system across Australian universities that provides a consistent approach to teaching the digital design skills that are increasingly being used by the country’s construction industry.
Hosseini, a lecturer in construction engineering at Deakin’s architecture school at its Geelong campus in regional Victoria, has published widely on the use of digital design and management systems in Australia and New Zealand.
