Universities welcome proposed changes to philanthropy rules

Changes outlined by Australia’s Productivity Commission will make donation system “fairer and more consistent”

Universities Australia has said that proposed changes to the country’s laws on philanthropy will not “adversely impact” higher education.

In a submission to the Productivity Commission’s draft report on philanthropy, the vice-chancellors’ group said the proposed rules would be “fairer and more consistent”.
