University of Queensland bounces back with financial surplus, but smaller institutions continue to struggle
The financial performance of universities in Queensland in 2023 ranged from improved to continuing to struggle.
Three universities tabled their annual reports to the state parliament on 26 March. The University of Queensland bounced back from a 2022 operating deficit of A$311 million to achieve a surplus of A$126m in 2023.
