Luke Sheehy, a self-described “policy nerd” and new head of Universities Australia, talks to RPN

If you overheard Luke Sheehy talking about his new job, you might not immediately grasp its gravitas, or the ambition he has for the role.

The chief executive of Universities Australia (UA) has taken on one of the most influential positions for higher education during a time of turmoil and change for the sector. But he frames the role as a chance to hang out at “the hill”—ie, Parliament House—talk to lots of people and generally sell universities to Australia.
