Australia announces A$18.4 million for Sydney centre and A$940m deal with US quantum company

The University of Sydney has been chosen to help grow Australia’s quantum industry.

In an announcement on 27 April, federal industry and science minister Ed Husic (pictured, left, at the University of Sydney) said the university would receive A$18.4 million to establish a centre called Quantum Australia, which will form research and commercial collaborations and work on creating international links.
