Green light for Astrium to buy satellite communications company Vizada

European space company Astrium has received the European Commission’s go-ahead to buy satellites communications provider Vizada.

The Commission said on 30 November that the acquisition was acceptable because “the merged entity will continue to face a sufficient number of competitors in all markets concerned.” This includes wholesale and retail markets for commercial satellite communication services and equipment.
