The Innovative Medicines Initiative, a €2-billion European funding programme for drug development, announced that it will ease its rules on funding research overhead costs.
Recipients of IMI funding will now be able to be reimbursed 100 per cent of the actual overhead costs associated to an IMI research project. Previously, overhead costs could only be reimbursed using a flat rate of 20 per cent.
