Jan Mengelers, head of Dutch applied research organisation TNO, has been elected president of Earto, the European association of research and technology organisations.
Mengelers will take over from Erkki Leppävuori, president of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, in January 2012. He was elected by the Earto executive board on 7 December.
