Plagiarism damaging Germany’s reputation, warn top research organisations

The political trivialisation of plagiarism cases is damaging Germany’s research reputation, science organisations have warned in a joint statement.

The Alliance of German Research Organisations said on 24 June that plagiarism was much more than a “peccadillo”. It added that it was unacceptable that politicians facing plagiarism investigations were still representing German science and politics internationally.
