Next Framework will be more inclusive, says research commissioner

The follow-up to Framework 7 must better tap into Europe’s talent pool, according to research commissioner, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn. The proposed Horizon 2020 funding programme is intended to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of EU research, with the aim of attracting a larger number of participants, Geoghegan-Quinn told research ministers last month. It will also allow more crossover with other EU funding programmes, she said.
