EU renews trade deal with Western Balkans

The Western Balkans will continue to benefit from tax breaks and duty-free access to European markets to support the growth and stabilisation of these countries, the European Commission announced on 30 December.

A bilateral agreement originally launched in 2000 was renewed that day by EU officials and representatives from the Balkan region. The agreement means that Western Balkan companies have duty-free access to EU products, and get tax reductions for trade with EU countries and collaboration with EU businesses.
