Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, the former German defence minister who lost his job over plagiarism in his PhD, has said he will not return to politics anytime soon, the Süddeutsche reports.
Zu Guttenberg was ousted from his post in March last year after an anonymous internet group found that over half of his PhD thesis was plagiarised. The minister had been a star of Germany’s conservative CDU party, and was once tipped for the post of chancellor.
