Four European regions specialising in micro- and nanoelectronics have launched a research alliance under the title of Silicon Europe, a according to the electronics manufacturing publication SolidStateTechnology.
The agreement between the four regions will bring together 800 research institutes and companies under a three-year action plan to promote electronics R&D, reports the article. The group will also push for a European summit for the industry and development of a technology roadmap together with the European Commission, reports the article.
