More scientific evidence on the effectiveness of treatments is needed to improve healthcare in Europe, according to the European Medical Research Councils.
In a policy document, EMRC says that health professional in Europe need to be more aware of the benefits of systematic evaluations on the safety, effectiveness and cost-efficiency of health treatments known as healthcare technology assessments (HTAs).
