MEPs vote for more research funding in 2014-20
The European Parliament called for an increase in funding for research and competitiveness for the next multi-annual EU budget, in a resolution passed on 23 October. MEPs warned the Council of Ministers that the Parliament wants “significant increases” in funding for research, innovation and competitiveness, to stimulate growth and help to end the economic crisis. The resolution was passed 517 votes to 105.
