Pretenders’ singer campaigns against animal testing

Chrissie Hynde, American songwriter, guitarist, and lead singer of the Pretenders, has pledged her support to a campaign against testing cosmetics on animals.

The campaign, No Cruel Cosmetics, is organised by the European Coalition to End Animal Experiments and calls for the EU to end all sales and imports of cosmetics that have been tested on animals. The group handed in a petition with just under a quarter of a million signatures to the European Parliament yesterday.
