European learned societies have launched a petition to save the Horizon 2020 research budget that has received over 33,000 signatures in its first 24 hours.
The petition, coordinated by the Initiative for Science in Europe, asks heads of state and governments to provide a “clear signal that investment in research, innovation and education is a top political priority”.
