The University of Düsseldorf has said it will release a statement this week on allegations that the German research minister, Annette Schavan, plagiarised her PhD thesis.
Anonymous reviewers claim to have found examples of plagiarism on 60 of the 351 pages of Schavan’s thesis, the Süddeutsche reports. The reviewers alleged on their website that Schavan could have written about authors she has never read, and had only slightly adapted long passages of text taken from other publications.
