Researchers call for flexibility, inclusiveness in Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 should be open, flexible, and multidisciplinary to tackle societal challenges, researchers have said in a report on the programme.

These recommendations are part of a report published last week based on the findings of last year’s Copenhagen Research Forum, a conference of European scientists. ‘Recommendations for the optimal implementation of Horizon 2020’ says that future research funding must be more diverse and flexible to cope with the changing nature of science.
