Council issues conclusions on Horizon 2020 and EIT

European research and business ministers have adopted conclusions on the structure of Horizon 2020 and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology at the latest Competitiveness Council meeting.

During the meeting, which took place on 10-11 December in Brussels, ministers agreed on a proposal for the EIT’s agenda for 2014-2020. The agenda states that the EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities should be set up in two waves. The first wave would begin in 2014 and, if it went well, the second would follow in 2017.
