Erasmus students face disruption

Students participating in the Erasmus exchange programme could be hit by cuts as early as the beginning of 2013 if policymakers fail to resolve disagreements over the programme’s funding shortfall, according to the commissioner for education Androulla Vassiliou. In a statement on 26 November, she warned that “disruption of Erasmus exchanges will happen sooner rather than later” if budget disagreements continue between the Parliament and the Council of Ministers.
