Food JPI to focus on climate change impacts

The Joint Programming Initiative on food, FACCE-JPI, is to concentrate research by its members on five challenges, with a strong focus on the impacts of climate change.

The initiative’s research strategy, issued on 12 December, outlines plans to study food security under climate change, adaptation to global warming, and mitigation. The JPI’s other two priorities are research on sustainable agriculture, and the trade-offs between ensuring a good food supply and protecting ecosystems.
