Danes try to unlock GM stalemate

The Danish EU presidency has proposed a compromise to soothe governments sparring over genetically modified crops, Reuters reports.

Under this draft compromise proposal, biotech companies would be allowed to grow GM plants in some EU countries if they don’t sell the crops in the countries that wish to ban them.
