The European Patent Office and US Internet giant Google have launched a free, online translation tool for patent documents.
The service, Patent Translate, will not only save money on manual translation, but may also save years of work for inventors who research prior art, EPO president Benoît Battistelli told the media at the launch in Brussels on 29 February.
